- Industry
Isolated kiln plinths, pressing hall floor, high bay warehouse, connected envelope with movement joints.
What the client was up against.
A tile manufacturing plant inside the M3 industrial city needed kiln foundations capable of repeated thermal cycling, a pressing hall floor with tight flatness, and a high bay warehouse, all on one connected footprint.
Options on the table.
Split the building into separate independent sheds.
Deliver a single connected envelope with engineered movement joints.
Lease and retrofit an existing shed in the same industrial estate.
What Tameer delivered.
A connected envelope with engineered movement joints between the kiln line, pressing hall, and warehouse, plus isolated heavy concrete plinths under each kiln to absorb cyclic load. The pressing hall floor was specified for the flatness the press equipment required.
The outcome.
A factory that runs as one continuous flow from raw material to packed pallets, with kiln plinths and the pressing hall floor sized to the equipment loads.
