What the client was up against.
PEL needed a second production unit to absorb growing demand for white goods while keeping its existing plant running. The new shed had to accept future assembly line reconfiguration without structural changes.
Options on the table.
Replicate the original shed bay for bay.
Engineer a longer clear span for line flexibility.
Use a mixed RCC and steel hybrid to balance cost and span.
What Tameer delivered.
A wide span steel portal frame with insulated metal panel cladding on a reinforced concrete plinth. Internal services were routed in an overhead rack so the floor stays clear for future line changes. Earthworks, foundations, frame, cladding, and ground level finishes ran as a single critical path.
The outcome.
A production envelope that gives PEL a free clear floor for assembly line work and headroom for future reconfiguration.
