What the client was up against.
A 200,000 sft paper products plant inside the Quaid e Azam Business Park required long clear spans for converting lines and a heavy duty floor for material handling, all on a programme tight enough that off site work and on site work needed to run in parallel.
Options on the table.
A pre engineered steel building with a light roof.
A conventional RCC frame with shorter bays and intermediate columns.
An RCC frame paired with Double T precast roof units for long clear spans.
What Tameer delivered.
A 200,000 sft RCC frame roofed with Double T precast units. The Double T system gave the wide column free bays the production line needed, and because the units were cast off site in parallel with frame work, the roof closed in faster than a cast in place option would have allowed.
The outcome.
A 200,000 sft production hall handed over in 2025, ready for production line installation and material handling traffic.
