Integrated RCC tower, structural transfer slab over surgical floors, façade match, MEP integration.
What the client was up against.
A hospital tower addition on a constrained downtown site needed deep service routing, structural support for surgical floors, and a façade strategy that respected the existing main hospital frontage.
Options on the table.
A free standing new tower with its own service backbone.
An integrated tower that shares vertical circulation and services.
A modular external tower craned into place in segments.
What Tameer delivered.
An integrated tower sharing the main vertical circulation and services spine. Surgical floors sit at mid height with a structural transfer slab that breaks the column grid for theatre flexibility. The façade carries the masonry tone of the main hospital and adds a contemporary glass cap.
The outcome.
A hospital tower that adds bed and surgical theatre space to the existing hospital while reading as one continuous building from the street.
